Due to not having the Free Spool facility the S is lighter than the 12000 FS at just 700g! This lack of a Free Spool facility doesn’t affect the reels performance, however, as the Quick Clutch at the front means you can still easily set it in readiness for a bite.

During the testing process many of our leading consultants have had nothing but praise for the 12000 S with both Mark Pitchers and Steve Spurgeon commenting that it was the best reel they had ever used!
